Soccer seems to generally be a fall sport, but I quit playing halfway through one season because I couldn’t wear clogs and I thought the shin guards made my legs look fat. I was 8.
I know this song came out in 1999 (a full 7 years before this book was published), but Summer Girls by LFO has been in my head since we recorded.
