Because I’m Worth It: Paint Me Like One of Your Classmates

On this week’s episode Clare and I read Because I’m Worth It, the fourth book in Cecily Von Ziegesar’s Gossip Girl series. You can listen to this episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you like to listen. As a reminder, some of these links, including our Bookshop.org link, are affiliates.

This week I’ve been reading The Cousins by Karen McManus, and Clare’s been watching Ginny and Georgia.

After some further math, I determined that I could date someone as young as 19 and as old as 34. But just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.

The Care and Keeping of You is a pretty good book if you’re looking to teach a young girl about her development. Far better than giving her any Gossip Girl book, if you’re wondering. I’d also recommend reading up on the “Psycho Lesbian” trope, since it’s surprisingly common. Predatory Lez anyone?

MDMA is molly, and molly is ecstasy. Can you tell Clare’s not a narc?
